Job description
Job Overview
Lockheed Martin offers essential driving and transportation support services to the New Zealand Army, facilitating local training operations. The position is based at Waiouru Military Camp and requires availability beyond typical working hours, encompassing weekends, with all extra hours compensated.
Key Duties
- Transporting troops to various locations
- Delivering meals throughout training zones
- Operating a regular shuttle service to Palmerston North
- Performing freight and supply deliveries
- Providing VIP chauffeur and ad-hoc Duty Driver services
- Carrying out inspections of vehicles and equipment
- Executing routine operator maintenance, minor repairs, and servicing as necessary
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of full Class 1 and Class 2 driving licences
- Having or being able to obtain a P Endorsement
- Experience with heavy vehicle operation
- Good physical fitness and customer service aptitude
