About the Role
An established alternative investment and institutional markets platform based in Dubai is seeking an experienced Fixed Income Trader with a focus on Emerging Markets credit. The role involves trading diverse fixed income instruments including sovereign, quasi-sovereign, and corporate bonds with particular emphasis on the GCC and wider MENA regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct trading activities in Emerging Markets sovereign, quasi-sovereign, and corporate bonds.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities in both high-yield and investment-grade credit segments.
- Execute trades within primary and secondary fixed income markets effectively.
- Generate innovative relative-value and tactical trading strategies.
- Monitor key market indicators such as credit spreads, yield curves, interest rates, liquidity, and macroeconomic developments.
- Provide insightful market commentary and execution analysis to the investment team.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with regional and international banks, brokers, and trading counterparties.
- Source liquidity and negotiate trade executions, particularly for less liquid Emerging Markets credit instruments.
- Support portfolio positioning and assist in risk management activities.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Possess approximately 5 to over 10 years of relevant experience in fixed income trading.
- Strong knowledge and exposure to Emerging Markets fixed income credit, especially within the GCC fixed income market.
- Experience in both sovereign and corporate credit trading is essential.
- Exposure to high-yield or sub-investment-grade bonds is highly advantageous.
- Candidates may come from asset management firms, hedge funds, investment firms, family offices, proprietary trading platforms, or bank fixed income/credit trading desks.
- A solid understanding of institutional market dynamics, fixed income instruments, credit products, and capital markets is mandatory.
