Role Overview
This position entails oversight of fixed assets accounting functions including capitalization, application of depreciation, performing reconciliations, and executing month-end closing procedures. The role is pivotal in ensuring precise accounting practices, compliance adherence, prompt resolution of discrepancies, and supporting financial reporting tasks while maintaining effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage fixed asset accounting activities encompassing capitalization and depreciation processes.
- Conduct thorough reconciliation of fixed asset accounts and ensure integrity of data.
- Execute month-end closing of accounts related to fixed assets accurately and timely.
- Oversee accounting operations to guarantee compliance with applicable financial standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve accounting issues.
- Support preparation of financial reports linked to fixed asset management.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Accounting professional with 7 to 12 years of specialized experience in fixed assets accounting including reconciliations, month-end closings, and financial reporting.
- Proven capability of leading and managing a team effectively.
- Educational qualification: Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy and Finance.
