Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various lathe and assembly operations, ensuring precision and quality in manufacturing components and assemblies according to engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute lathe operations such as straight turning, taper turning, facing, knurling, grooving, parting off, and internal and external thread cutting.
• Set up machines by securely mounting raw materials in chucks or collets, and selecting the correct cutting tools with appropriate feed rates and spindle speeds.
• Produce cylindrical components including shafts, pins, bushings, and pulleys while strictly adhering to engineering blueprints and tolerance requirements.
• Maintain cutting tools by grinding and sharpening high-speed steel (HSS) and carbide single-point tools.
• Continuously inspect surface finishes and measure dimensions using instruments like micrometers, bore gauges, and thread plug gauges to ensure quality standards.
• Assemble various mechanical parts, sub-assemblies, and structures employing bolts, screws, dowels, and rivets.
• Prepare metal components accurately through marking, filing, sawing, drilling, and scraping for precise fits relevant to pipe, machine, and structural fitting tasks.
• Interpret and comprehend mechanical drawings, engineering schematics, and specifications related to geometric tolerances.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, overhaul worn components, and conduct routine maintenance preventive tasks on production equipment.
• Utilize precision measurement tools such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and height gauges for accurate assessments.
