Fitter Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a proficient Mechanical Fitter to join our industrial manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be accountable for the installation, assembly, upkeep, and repair of various mechanical machinery and equipment, ensuring seamless operation with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and dismantle machinery and mechanical equipment efficiently.
• Carry out preventive maintenance as well as emergency breakdown repairs.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and equipment layout plans accurately.
• Perform precise alignment of shafts, bearings, couplings, pumps, and gearboxes.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and implement appropriate repairs promptly.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fitting tools in a safe manner.
• Adhere to workplace safety standards and maintenance protocols within the plant.
• Ensure machinery operates at optimal efficiency with minimal downtime.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess ITI or Diploma in Fitter or Mechanical Trade.
• Preferably have experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant setting.
• Solid knowledge of mechanical maintenance, fitting, alignment techniques, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding and practice of industrial safety norms.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts and collaborate effectively within maintenance teams.
