Firefighter

Overview

We are inviting applications for Firefighter positions within an operational emergency response team, open to candidates ranging from developing firefighters to experienced leaders. The appointment level depends on the candidate’s experience, certifications, qualifications, and demonstrated operational abilities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and safely to fire, rescue, and emergency incidents, following established protocols.
• Operate firefighting and rescue equipment to support emergency response actions.
• Engage in emergency drills, exercises, and continuous operational training sessions.
• Carry out regular inspections and maintenance checks for firefighting vehicles, equipment, and safety systems.
• Maintain physical and medical fitness required for operational readiness.
• Accurately complete operational records, incident reports, and equipment logs.
• Keep certifications current and participate in mandatory refresher training and competency evaluations.
• Adhere strictly to health, safety, emergency response, and operational guidelines.
• Senior candidates are expected to provide leadership, guidance, and possibly command operational activities when suitably qualified.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Certification from an Initial Firefighter Training course or equivalent.
• ICAO-recognized aviation firefighting certification or comparable international qualification.
• Relevant and valid certifications in firefighting and emergency response disciplines.
• Capability to meet medical and physical fitness requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Heavy vehicle driving license.
• Experience in aviation or airport firefighting operations.
• Training in Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) or equivalent.
• Supervisory or Crew Commander firefighting qualifications for senior roles.
• Additional certifications in specialized rescue or emergency response fields.

Experience

Candidates with diverse levels of experience are encouraged to apply. Previous professional firefighting or emergency response experience is favorable, especially in aviation firefighting. Senior-level candidates should demonstrate leadership, operational command, supervisory, or training experience relevant to their responsibilities.
