About the Role

Join a reputable fire protection contractor in Sydney as a Fire Tester. This role involves working at diverse commercial, industrial, and high-profile locations across the city, focusing on testing, inspecting, and maintaining fire protection systems to ensure safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled monthly, six-monthly, and annual fire system testing according to AS1851 standards.
  • Carry out maintenance and testing of wet and dry fire systems, such as fire panels, hydrants, hose reels, sprinklers, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and identify required repairs for fire protection systems.
  • Accurately complete service reports, compliance documents, and logbooks.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and onsite representatives.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and urgent service needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with the broader service and technical teams.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience as a Fire Tester or Fire Technician.
  • Practical knowledge of wet and/or dry fire system components.
  • Strong understanding of AS1851 compliance procedures and testing guidelines.
  • Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team setting.
  • Possession of a valid NSW driver's licence.
  • Relevant industry qualifications, licences, or FPAS accreditation are desirable.
