Role Overview
We are looking for a full-time Fire Alarm Technician located onsite in Doha. Responsibilities include the installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems and related safety devices at various client sites. Routine duties encompass conducting inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and ensuring compliance with standards. The technician will utilize technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer instructions to guide installations and maintenance, alongside preparing service reports and documentation. Collaboration with supervisors, project engineers, and clients is integral, as is adherence to safety protocols and occasional after-hours emergency support.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in installation, wiring, and commissioning of fire alarm control panels, detectors, and associated equipment.
- Experienced in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairing fire safety systems using appropriate testing instruments like meters.
- Knowledgeable about Qatar's fire safety codes, standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, layouts, and technical documentation relevant to system maintenance.
- Effective communication and customer service capabilities for liaison with various stakeholders on site.
- Basic computer literacy for service documentation, report writing, and maintenance record updates.
- Previous work experience in fire alarm technology or similar low-current or fire protection systems roles is highly valued.
- Preferably holds a technical diploma or certification in electrical engineering, electronics, or fire protection systems.
- Capable of working onsite in Doha, including performing tasks at heights or in tight spaces, complying with health, safety, and PPE requirements.
- Available for shift schedules, emergency call-outs, and assignments at multiple client locations.
