Role Overview

The Financial Reporting Specialist will manage the preparation and review of financial statements and coordinate overall financial reporting for investment funds and companies across various jurisdictions and financial standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting deliverables within the Financial Reporting Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary daily operational contact for multiple clients.
  • Prepare and review annual and interim financial statements.
  • Oversee Financial Reporting Analysts regarding systems, procedures, and responsibilities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and complete audits and related audit requirements.
  • Manage the issuance and review of financial statements and interim reports.
  • Supervise completion of Irish Financial Regulator and Irish Stock Exchange filings.
  • Oversee annual filings and maintain a centralized repository of all audited financial statements.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate junior staff and new employees within the team.
  • Provide performance feedback to managers and assist in appraisals and employee development.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and service agreements with accounting teams and external parties.
  • Address queries from clients and auditors promptly within set deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements such as IFSRA, CSO, and marketing institutions.
  • Perform assigned duties per the company’s Safety Statement to maintain employee health and safety.
  • Carry out additional tasks and projects as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess an accounting or finance qualification or be a part-qualified accountant.
  • Have over 5 years of experience in fund accounting or fund-related roles.
  • Bring at least 2 years of financial reporting and/or audit experience with knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP and International GAAP.
  • Experience in preparing financial accounts.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English is essential.
  • Proven supervisory skills with experience in mentoring and coaching junior staff.
  • Familiarity with Advent Geneva, Sungard InvestOne, and Sungard Investran systems is advantageous.
