Financial Operations Manager

Overview

We are recruiting a seasoned Financial Operations Manager to direct day-to-day financial activities, guaranteeing the precision and integrity of financial documentation and adherence to established financial policies, procedures, and accounting standards within Reef Group in Saudi Arabia.

Key Duties

• Manage daily financial transaction recording and processing.
• Validate and approve journal entries to maintain accuracy before financial closures.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings adhering to deadlines.
• Compile and assess financial statements such as Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
• Track general ledger balances and perform timely, precise account reconciliations.
• Supervise bank reconciliations ensuring correctness of related financial entries.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Payable to ensure adherence to approved methods.
• Enhance accounting procedures to improve efficiency and minimize errors.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and company internal financial policies.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors providing necessary data and documentation.
• Assist the FP&A team in the annual budgeting process.
• Analyze financial variances, identify causes, and suggest corrective measures.
• Manage the accounting team, delegate tasks, monitor progress, and encourage ongoing development.
• Generate periodic financial reports and analyses to aid senior management's decisions.
• Maintain robust financial controls throughout accounting functions.
• Identify financial and operational risks within accounting processes, proposing appropriate remedies.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial data within the company's ERP and related systems.

Additional Duties

• Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by the manager or authorized delegate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in financial operations and accounting.
• Proven expertise in managing accounting operations and financial close processes.
• Proficient in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
• Experienced in using ERP and financial management software.
