Job description
About the Role
This position is for a Financial Controller within a leading heavy civil and infrastructure contracting company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The business focuses on executing large-scale infrastructure projects across the region.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end monthly financial closing process, prepare management accounts, and deliver timely reports to executive leadership.
- Administer budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across various projects and company divisions.
- Collaborate with commercial and project teams to enforce stringent project-level cost control measures.
- Ensure full adherence to local statutory, taxation, and audit regulations.
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and internal governance frameworks.
- Work alongside senior management to support financial planning and evaluate overall business performance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Between 10 and 15 years of overall experience in finance and accounting roles.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience serving as a Financial Controller or in a similar senior finance leadership capacity.
- Demonstrable background within construction or contracting industry is mandatory.
- Strong expertise in technical accounting; professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Experience in managing cost control for project-based activities and handling reporting across multiple entities.
