Role Overview
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to collaborate closely with the Workforce Planning Lead and other teams to ensure that our stores are optimally staffed around the clock. This position offers the chance to influence how store labour is planned, tracked, and enhanced across a network exceeding 180 locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analysis relating to store performance, monthly results, and forecasting trends.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to maintain operational excellence within stores.
- Advise senior leadership on strategies to improve financial outcomes of store labour.
- Partner with Finance to develop realistic and operational budget targets for stores.
- Support the implementation and success of Workforce Scheduling and Time & Attendance systems.
- Create intuitive, insight-driven reports and dashboards for senior management's decision-making support.
- Collaborate with Operations teams to verify the financial validity of workforce models and assumptions.
- Track and analyze store performance against labour allocations, spotting variances and improvement opportunities.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in labour financial analysis, ideally within multi-site retail operations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset for working with stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical competence, including expert Excel usage and familiarity with Power BI.
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
- High commercial awareness paired with effective communication abilities.
- A commitment to continuous process improvement aimed at enhancing results.
