Role Overview
The Financial Analyst will play a vital role in developing Meridian’s future asset management capabilities by creating financial models and value frameworks that influence long-term investment decisions across the company's asset portfolio. The position requires collaboration across multiple teams to access existing knowledge and expertise to build transparent, value-driven strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive financial models and valuation frameworks to support asset investment decisions.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to gather insights and build consensus.
- Work through ambiguous situations to establish clear paths forward in decision-making.
- Contribute to the shaping and building of Meridian's asset management capability.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Inherent curiosity and proactive approach in seeking answers.
- Experience in financial analysis, business partnering, or commercial roles within complex operational or asset-heavy environments.
- Strong skills in financial modelling, forecasting, and evaluating investments and business cases with a focus on long-term value.
- Understanding of how digital, data, and analytics can enhance asset management and operational performance.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to recommend sound analytical methodologies and challenge assumptions.
- Effective communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment and maintain alignment across diverse teams.
