Role Overview
As a full-time Financial Advisor in Moose Jaw, your primary responsibility is to understand the financial goals of our members and provide tailored financial advice to help them achieve those objectives. This involves offering and managing financial services and products for both new and existing non-portfolio aligned members.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify members' financial objectives proactively and recommend appropriate advice and solutions.
- Offer and manage memberships and account services, including lines of credit.
- Provide consumer investment products excluding mutual funds.
- Deliver non-complex consumer lending products.
- Manage cards, registered products, safety deposit boxes, mobile banking solutions, and daily banking needs.
- Engage in proactive outreach to educate members and prospects about the benefits and functionalities of our products and services.
- Boost member relationship retention and growth by referring members to specialists based on needs and following up to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain thorough, timely, and accurate documentation.
- Comply with all security, operational policies, procedures, and controls.
- Balance opportunities and risks, as well as growth and profitability through rate negotiation and fee management.
- Represent Conexus positively to aid membership growth and strengthen credit union collaboration.
- Identify chances to improve processes and raise operational efficiency.
- Support retail team members as needed.

Experience and Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of advisory experience within the financial sector.
- Sales experience is an asset.
- Background in portfolio management.
- Completion or progress toward Financial Planner and Personal Financial Services Advice certifications.
- Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) designation is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges from $50,180 to $62,720, with a 7% short-term incentive target.
