Financial Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Qualified Accountant to fully manage our financial operations. This pivotal role in our management team involves overseeing all financial controls, leading initiatives to refine processes, and supporting strategic decisions aimed at business expansion, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.

Principal Responsibilities

• Take complete responsibility for financial controls including Credit Control, Accounts Payable and Receivable, and ensure compliance with Taxation.
• Supervise and manage the billing activities for customers within the country.
• Lead strategic reviews of business processes to enhance system efficiency and minimize costs across departments.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify and implement workflow improvements enabling operational efficiencies.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and high-level decision support to senior leadership.
• Respond to ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from Business Managers.

Qualifications and Skills

• Qualified ACCA, ACA, or CPA accountant with at least two years of experience post-qualification in financial management.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with effective people management and organizational capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills, emphasizing internal control improvements, process reliability, and acute attention to detail.
• Motivated to enhance systems and workflows continually, as well as develop professional capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating complex financial information to non-specialists.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, notably Excel, and experience using contemporary accounting software.
