Role Overview
The organisation is entering a dynamic growth phase and requires a commercially-focused Finance Director to join the executive team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role demands a strategic financial leader who can provide insight, operational challenge, and strong financial stewardship throughout the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management effectively.
- Produce timely and relevant management information that supports commercial decision-making.
- Create comprehensive reports focusing on sales, profit margins, inventory, cash position, and operational metrics.
- Collaborate closely with the leadership team to enhance profitability and improve business operations.
- Support vital commercial functions such as pricing strategies, investment evaluations, and negotiation processes.
- Enhance business processes, implement stronger controls, and establish robust performance monitoring systems.
- Coordinate with operations, sales, production, and warehousing teams to identify and leverage efficiency and performance improvements.
- Provide inspirational leadership and act as a trusted partner to the Managing Director.
Candidate Profile
- Professional qualification as ACA, CIMA, or ACCA.
- Proven financial leadership with strong commercial perspective.
- Ability to translate complex data into straightforward, actionable business insights and reporting.
- Meticulous attention to detail combined with a disciplined approach to processes.
- Hands-on work ethic and credible operational experience.
- Experience in enhancing processes, controls, and overall business performance.
- Confident communicator with influence at senior management level.
- Pragmatic mindset enabling the delivery of scalable, uncomplicated solutions.
Experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, or distribution sectors is beneficial, though practical financial leadership and commercial understanding are paramount irrespective of industry background.
