Role Summary

The field tracer technician position is a full-time onsite role based in Abu Dhabi. The technician is responsible for preparing, managing, and deploying nanoparticle tracer substances at oilfield and other industrial sites following prescribed procedures and safety protocols. Key duties include organizing and overseeing tracer injection apparatus, conducting routine flow condition inspections, gathering field samples and data, and documenting parameters related to tracer deployment. The role requires collaboration with engineers and project managers to accurately implement tracer programs, report observations, and assist in troubleshooting equipment or procedural issues. Maintenance of instruments and tools, compliance with environmental and regulatory standards, and continuous enhancement of field processes are also essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor tracer injection equipment at oilfield and related industrial sites.
• Perform routine inspections to check flow conditions and operational status.
• Collect field samples and accurately document operational data and tracer deployment details.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to ensure precise execution of tracer projects.
• Communicate field observations clearly and support troubleshooting of any equipment or process problems.
• Maintain field instruments and tools in good working order.
• Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements during field operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance field operation effectiveness.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience in oilfield or industrial field operations, with familiarity in pumps, injection systems, and basic instrumentation.
• Proficiency in collecting samples, recording accurate operational data, and using standard measurement and monitoring tools within test and diagnostic protocols.
• Strong adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards including proper chemical and equipment handling.
• Ability to identify field issues, assist troubleshooting, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal, with an organized approach to documentation and time management under demanding schedules.
• Preferably holds a technical diploma or degree in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial technology, or related disciplines.
• Prior experience as a field technician or in oilfield services is advantageous.
• Willingness to work shift schedules, extended hours, and travel to various field locations as required.
