Role Overview

The Field Research Associate will gather and validate on-site property and tenant information crucial to CoStar’s industry-leading real estate database. This role is pivotal to capturing accurate intelligence on tenants, occupancy, available spaces, and building features that support a wide range of CoStar products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive fieldwork to collect and verify data on property characteristics, tenant occupancy, and available spaces.
  • Maintain exceptional accuracy and thoroughness in data collection and entry to uphold database integrity.
  • Provide verified foundational data that supports all CoStar Group products, contributing to overall team data objectives.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit in a vehicle for up to 8 hours daily.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying equipment up to 3 kg safely.
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm motions needed for device operation.
  • Occasional bending, lifting, twisting, and carrying as part of job duties.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions along with driving responsibilities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with minimum 2 years professional experience; fieldwork experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail, effective time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with accurate data capture and entry capability.
  • Proficient with Windows and Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and an ability to quickly learn real estate terms.
  • Comfortable working independently in the field, traveling extensively, and navigating wide geographical areas in all weather conditions.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and successful Driving Record/Abstract check required before starting; driving history must show compliance and responsible conduct.
