Role Overview

The Field Engineer will collaborate with prospective and key enterprise clients, acting as the technical ambassador for Anysphere. This role involves assisting customers in evaluating Cursor, guiding them through proof-of-concept processes, and helping them realize the full potential of AI integration in engineering tasks. It requires close cooperation with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to tailor solutions, showcase product capabilities, and serve as a trusted technical advisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Account Executives to lead technical discovery processes, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept projects.
• Forge trusted relationships with engineering leaders, system architects, and developers, acting as their technical consultant.
• Convert customer needs into detailed solution designs, advising on deployment practices, prompt strategies, and contextual configurations.
• Create and deliver customized technical presentations, whiteboard discussions, and interactive workshops specific to customer requirements.
• Serve as the customer’s technical representative internally, shaping roadmap focus and relaying feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
• Work with post-sales teams to ensure seamless customer handoff and onboarding success.
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of Cursor’s features and competitive environment to effectively communicate value propositions.
• Contribute to strategic account planning and support growth opportunities with skilled technical validation.

Candidate Profile

• Exceptional communication abilities combined with strong executive presence; equally adept at coding with developers or presenting to CTO-level stakeholders.
• Comprehensive knowledge of software development lifecycles, modern engineering organizations, and challenges related to developer productivity.
• Practical technical expertise with fluency in technical workflows, AI tools, and the ability to diagnose complex systems, even if not a full-time engineer.
• Customer-centric approach with talent for interpreting technical nuances into business benefits.
• Experience in Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales, or Consultancy roles within enterprise software domains.
• Thrives in startup environments by being resourceful, flexible, and proactive in problem-solving.
