F&B Service Expert (Barista)

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated F&B Service Expert specializing as a Barista for our location in Doha, Qatar. This position involves handling opening and closing responsibilities, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and workstations, processing customer orders using the MICROS system, and preparing coffee and food items efficiently and professionally.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all opening and closing tasks, such as setting up supplies, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing the premises.
• Stock and maintain the work environment to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Enter customer orders via the MICROS point of sale system, process payments, and prepare food and coffee beverages accordingly.
• Operate appliances like coffee makers responsibly, ensuring they are turned on or off at designated times.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the shift, including bussing tables, cleaning dishes, utensils, work areas, and equipment.
• Handle cash transactions accurately by preparing change, counting bank at shift end, completing cashier reports, resolving discrepancies, securing cash, and dropping off receipts.

• Adhere strictly to all safety and security protocols; promptly report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
• Complete any required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance and uniform.
• Protect company confidentiality and assets.

Guest Service and Teamwork

• Greet guests warmly and meet their service needs proactively following company standards.
• Assist individuals with disabilities as necessary.
• Use clear and professional communication and foster positive relationships with colleagues to support team goals.
• Ensure that quality standards are consistently maintained.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Lift, move, carry, push, pull objects up to 25 pounds without help.
• Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, bending, twisting, reaching overhead or below the knees.
• Navigating narrow, elevated, or confined spaces, and using stairs or ramps.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience is necessary.
• No licenses or certifications required.
