F&B Restaurant Reservation Agent

Position Overview

The F&B Restaurant Reservation Agent plays a crucial role in supporting various departments to deliver exceptional service to guests. This individual maintains cleanliness and tidiness in assigned work areas throughout their shift by adhering to clean-as-you-go procedures. The job involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and requires reading and verifying diverse types of information, including small print.

Using computers and point of sale systems, the agent processes and retrieves work-related information efficiently. Communication is key in this role; agents utilize electronic devices such as pagers, two-way radios, and email to exchange information with team members. Engaging guests in conversations about their stay, hotel amenities, and local attractions is an essential part of the role.

Workplace Conduct and Safety

Strict adherence to company safety and security policies is required, including reporting accidents and unsafe conditions to management. Agents must complete all mandatory safety training and certifications. Professional appearance and confidentiality in handling proprietary information are mandatory to protect company assets and reputation. The agent is expected to greet guests warmly, anticipate their service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.

Effective communication skills must be demonstrated, whether speaking clearly and professionally, preparing written documents accurately, or answering phone calls with appropriate etiquette. Building and maintaining positive team relationships and responding thoughtfully to colleagues' concerns are integral to the work environment.

Physical and Other Duties

The role requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Other reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Experience: A minimum of one year in a related position is expected.
• Supervisory Experience: None required.
• License/Certification: No specific licenses or certifications needed.
