Overview
Begin your journey with U-Haul as a Facility Housekeeper, where you play a pivotal role in maintaining a clean, orderly, and welcoming atmosphere for customers. This role is ideal for individuals who are proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to an exceptional service environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and mopping areas such as storage units, hallways, restrooms, and elevators.
- Manage waste disposal diligently by emptying trash containers regularly.
- Monitor cleaning supply levels and request replenishments as necessary to ensure continued operation.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to support facility maintenance.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational abilities to manage cleaning schedules and supplies.
- A readiness to learn new procedures and techniques.
- Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
The position entails working with some occupational hazards, including exposure to moving machinery parts, fumes, and cleaning chemicals. Use of protective equipment such as gloves, masks, goggles, or shields may be necessary for safety.
Physically, the role demands endurance for periods of standing and moving outdoors, bending and stretching to access different areas, and handling equipment or objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
