About the Role

If you enjoy hands-on work and want to develop technical skills, the position of Hitch Service Technician at U-Haul offers a rewarding opportunity. This role is based at U-Haul Moving and Storage Center locations where you will use your technical expertise to serve customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge of U-Haul’s towing package options and explain them to customers.
• Advise customers on the appropriate tow packages for their vehicles and complete installations.
• Deliver excellent customer support and service to all patrons.
• Carry out other duties as required by the supervisor.
• Engage in continuous professional development through U-Haul University.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Have experience with basic wiring and using hand and power tools.
• Hold at least a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The work environment involves moderate hazards, including exposure to moving machinery, fumes, and chemicals. Use of protective equipment like masks, gloves, and goggles may be necessary. The role demands physical activity such as standing for extended periods, moving to access tools, and lifting weights up to 50 pounds, sometimes without assistance.
