Job description
Job Overview
We are seeking a Facilities & PR Officer fluent in Arabic to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the company's facility management and government transactions in Jebel Ali, Dubai. This full-time position requires a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and involves collaboration with multiple government authorities and contractors to ensure smooth operation and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee lease agreements, tenancy contracts, utility accounts, and related facility documentation.
- Liaise with JAFZA, Trakhees, DEWA, RTA, and other governmental entities to handle permits, approvals, and renewals.
- Manage and supervise maintenance, renovations, civil works, and construction within company premises.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities including offices, factories, warehouses, and accommodations to identify structural and safety concerns.
- Collaborate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and building management ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Review and evaluate quotations, drawings, project schedules, and contractor progress to maintain quality, cost-effectiveness, and timelines.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, project updates, maintenance records, and renewal schedules.
- Ensure all contractors adhere to company safety standards and authority regulations.
- Manage company public relations and government documentation when necessary.
- Maintain organized records of contracts, approvals, certificates, permits, and correspondence.
- Provide regular updates in coordination with the HSE team and report findings to the Head of HR & Admin.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Relevant experience in UAE involving facilities management, civil works, construction projects, or property maintenance coupled with PR and administrative duties.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory processes involving JAFZA, Trakhees, DEWA, RTA, and local Dubai authorities.
- Fluency in Arabic is mandatory; English proficiency is advantageous.
- Strong skills in contractor management, negotiation, inspection, and report preparation.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with reading engineering drawings.
- Holding a valid UAE driving license is preferable.
- Capability to independently handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and satisfy government authority requirements.
