Facilities Manager / Facilities Director

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Facilities Manager or Facilities Director to oversee the management of facilities operations, property maintenance, asset oversight, and workplace services throughout various locations.

Primary Duties

• Direct the overall operations of facility management including building maintenance and asset control.
• Supervise critical systems such as Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), HVAC, electrical infrastructure, plumbing networks, security arrangements, cleaning services, and other essential building operations.
• Coordinate contracts and relationships with contractors, vendors, service providers, maintenance personnel, and the facility management team.
• Track facility effectiveness, monitor maintenance plans and schedules, control operational expenses, ensure safety protocols, and maintain service excellence.
• Ensure that all facility operations comply with relevant building codes, health and safety statutes, and maintenance benchmarks.
• Oversee preventative upkeep, repairs, inspections, emergency procedures, and initiatives aimed at facility enhancement.
• Create and manage budgets, regular maintenance schedules, agreements, and operational reporting.
• Champion initiatives for energy conservation, sustainability, cost reduction, and ongoing improvements.

Candidate Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, Property Oversight, or a similar discipline.
• Documented experience in facility management, property operational management, building maintenance, or equivalent senior roles.
• In-depth understanding of MEP infrastructures, building operation systems, safety protocols, compliance requirements, and facility management standards.
• Excellent leadership qualities, outstanding communication, organizational aptitude, analytical thinking, and effective problem-solving capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience in overseeing vendors, contractors, financial budgets, maintenance programs, and diverse teams.
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), Building Management Systems (BMS), energy monitoring systems, or equivalent facility technologies.
• Professional certification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Regulation, or Workplace Management is advantageous.
• Experience working with commercial buildings, residential complexes, healthcare facilities, hospitality venues, data centers, industrial plants, or large-scale installations is desirable.
