Role Responsibilities

• Lead the Facilities division responsible for engineering, operations, maintenance, utilities, infrastructure projects, and technical support in a continuous 24/7 12-inch semiconductor fabrication environment.
• Formulate and implement a long-term strategy for facilities, including capacity planning and infrastructure development aligned with production and technological demands.
• Guarantee uninterrupted operation and reliability of vital utilities such as electrical power, HVAC, chilled and process cooling water, UPW (Ultra Pure Water), CDA (Clean Dry Air), vacuum systems, bulk and specialty gases, chemicals, exhaust and abatement, wastewater management, and fire protection.
• Oversee facilities engineering and major capital expenditure projects from initial design through construction, commissioning, qualification, and handover while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Develop and maintain robust programs for reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance, emergency response, and business continuity to minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes caused by facilities issues.
• Collaborate closely with Fab Operations, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Environmental Health and Safety, Quality, Finance, and Procurement teams to ensure facilities capabilities support production and technology requirements.
• Champion energy efficiency initiatives, resource optimization, sustainability efforts, and ongoing improvements throughout the site's facilities infrastructure.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team, fostering local engineering and technical talent development and building strong succession pipelines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Facilities, Building Services Engineering or related fields.
• More than 15 years of relevant experience in engineering and facilities management, ideally within semiconductor manufacturing or another industry requiring high reliability manufacturing.
• Proven leadership managing cross-functional facilities engineering and operations teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of semiconductor fabrication plant facilities and essential utility infrastructure.
• Experience managing sizeable CAPEX and OPEX budgets alongside major infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in facilities reliability, risk management, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity working in a 24/7 manufacturing environment demanding high uptime and operational continuity.

Core Skills and Preferred Attributes

• Hands-on experience supporting a 300mm / 12-inch semiconductor fabrication plant.
• Background in greenfield fab construction, expansion projects, commissioning phases, production ramp-ups, or significant infrastructure upgrades.
• Strong knowledge of systems such as UPW, critical electrical power, HVAC, process cooling, various gases and chemicals, exhaust and abatement, and wastewater treatment.
• Familiarity with facilities automation technologies including Building Management Systems (BMS), Facilities Management Systems (FMS), and data-driven reliability initiatives.
• Proven ability to nurture local engineering talent and establish technical succession frameworks.
• Advanced qualification such as a Master’s degree in Engineering, an MBA, or equivalent.
