Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and supervise Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) equipment including Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), exhaust systems, pumps, and ventilation units.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance routines and inspections to ensure ACMV equipment operates efficiently.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues relating to HVAC and ventilation systems.
  • Monitor system parameters such as temperature, pressure, alarms, and energy usage to maintain optimal performance.
  • Ensure all building utility systems function correctly and coordinate remedial actions when faults are detected.
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, faults, and equipment performance data meticulously.
  • Collaborate with contractors and service vendors during servicing, calibration, and major repair tasks.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, permit guidelines, and onsite regulations consistently.
  • Attend to urgent system breakdowns and participate in shift rotations or on-call duties as required.
  • Act as an Emergency Response Team (ERT) member and respond to site emergencies promptly.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Facilities Management, or similar technical discipline.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining ACMV/HVAC systems within industrial, commercial, or facility environments.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, control mechanisms, and fundamental electrical concepts.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents such as manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and conducting preventive maintenance for ACMV equipment.
  • Knowledgeable about safety standards and routine preventive maintenance protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and cooling towers.
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) or SCADA control systems.
  • Basic electrical fault diagnosis skills.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and in urgent situations.
  • Capacity to respond effectively as part of emergency teams during critical incidents.
