Facade BIM Senior Engineer/Manager

Overview

This role involves leading the creation, coordination, and management of facade-related Building Information Models (BIM) throughout design, fabrication, and construction phases. The objective is to ensure precise BIM workflows, superior 3D models, and thorough documentation for facade engineering, detailing, and multidisciplinary integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion the implementation of cutting-edge BIM practices and facade modelling standards to boost design accuracy and project productivity.
• Develop and enforce facade-specific BIM protocols, including families, templates, and Levels Of Detail (LOD), ensuring uniformity in projects.
• Guarantee all facade BIM deliverables meet industry standards, project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and fabrication prerequisites.
• Serve as the facade BIM expert in high-level dealings with clients, architects, consultants, and contractors.
• Communicate effectively about BIM features, digital outputs, and facade coordination strategies to align stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship to junior BIM staff on advanced facade modelling, detailing, and collaboration processes.
• Follow project BEPs and international BIM standards rigorously.
• Develop and oversee LOD 300-500 BIM models using platforms like Revit, Navisworks, and related technologies.
• Produce coordinated 2D drawings from BIM models, including plans, sections, elevations, details, shop drawings, as-built and fabrication documents, and quantity take-offs.
• Create parametric families and templates as needed.
• Assist with 4D (construction sequencing) and 5D (costing/quantity) BIM models when required.
• Ensure BIM outputs are delivered according to project timelines and milestones.
• Guide junior BIM engineers and support BIM management in adopting new processes and technologies.
• Offer technical assistance on BIM tools and best practices to project teams.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Knowledge of Dynamo, Rhino/Grasshopper, and parametric design tools is an advantage.
• Understanding of construction methods, detailing, and coordination principles.
• Familiarity with international BIM standards.
• Effective communication and coordination capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead BIM tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving proficiency.
• Preferred: Autodesk Professional Certification (Revit / BIM).
• Experience with 4D simulations, COBie, digital twin workflows, computational design, or BIM automation beneficial.

• External stakeholders: Architects, Consultants, Main Contractor, Client.

Eligibility

Applicants should hold a B.Tech or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a B.Arch in Architecture.

Additional Details

Location: Gurgaon, India.
Annual Salary Range: INR 1,600,000 to 2,000,000.
Employment Type: Full-time.
