Fabrication Engineer

About the Role

The position of Fabrication Engineer entails preparing precise fabrication drawings, collaborating closely with the workshop team, and ensuring that both fabrication and installation are carried out in line with drawings and site demands.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop detailed fabrication and shop drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Construct 3D models leveraging SketchUp tools.
• Comprehend the detailing and fabrication process for stainless steel (SS) and mild steel (MS).
• Conduct site visits to take measurements and carry out inspections.
• Liaise with architects, clients, and on-site teams for smooth coordination.
• Supervise workshop fabrication activities ensuring alignment with provided drawings.
• Diagnose and address issues encountered during fabrication or on site.
• Revise drawings to reflect actual site conditions accurately.
• Maintain high standards of precision, quality, and execution throughout the process.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Professional experience ranging from 3 to 7 years in a related role.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp software for design and modeling tasks.
• Hands-on experience with metal fabrication involving stainless steel and mild steel.
• Insight into welding methods, joints, and fixing specifications.
• Competency in interpreting architectural drawings thoroughly.
• Strong communication abilities paired with effective problem-solving skills.
