External Audit Manager

Job Overview

This role demands oversight of multiple complex and high-risk audit projects with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and profitability. The manager will act as a primary consultant to the Engagement Partner on matters of technical accounting, auditing, and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a portfolio of high-stakes external audit engagements.
• Lead and mentor audit teams to build capabilities and drive performance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior-level client stakeholders, including Chief Financial Officers and members of Audit Committees.
• Oversee engagement economics involving budgeting, resource allocation, billing, and ensuring profitability.
• Conduct quality control procedures, making certain all audits comply with firm policies, International Standards on Auditing (ISA), and all local regulatory mandates.
• Drive business growth activities by leading proposal development and nurturing existing client relationships.
• Collaborate with senior Partners on strategic projects, practice expansion, and talent management initiatives.

Qualifications and Expertise

• At least eight years of experience in external auditing, with two to three years specifically at a managerial capacity.
• Possession of a professional accounting certification such as CPA, SOCPA, or ACCA, which is mandatory.
• Strong mastery of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), ISA, and Saudi regulations (SOCPA).
• Proven experience managing complex client accounts and leading diverse interdisciplinary teams.
• Excellent command of English, alongside good proficiency in Arabic.
