About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Export Documentation Executive to join our team in Salem, Tamil Nadu. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all documentation related to export shipments and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare essential export documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, certificates of origin, and Bill of Lading/Air Waybill instructions.
- Liaise effectively with Customs House Agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters to facilitate smooth shipment processes.
- Manage Letter of Credit (LC) documentation and submit it to banks accurately, avoiding discrepancies.
- Verify and prepare export documentation in line with Letter of Credit requirements and customer specifications.
- Follow up on export-related financial procedures such as Electronic Bank Realization Certificate (eBRC), bank realization, export incentives, RoDTEP, duty drawback, and GST refunds.
- Utilize government portals like ICEGATE and other DGFT/customs systems to process shipments and claims.
- Maintain detailed shipment records, export files, and ensure compliance documentation is up-to-date.
- Collaborate with accounts, logistics, production teams, and customers to coordinate shipment execution.
- Monitor shipment progress to guarantee timely dispatch and documentation submission.
- Ensure adherence to customs laws, FEMA regulations, and export compliance standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in export documentation and handling Letter of Credit documentation.
- Familiarity with ICEGATE portal, Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) systems, shipping bills, and customs procedures.
- Good understanding of INCOTERMS, Harmonized System (HS) codes, and export regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of banking documentation related to exports.
- Strong coordination and diligent follow-up capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP software.
- High attention to accuracy and detail in documentation processing.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 to 8 years of professional experience in export/import documentation.
- Experience working in manufacturing or export-oriented organizations is advantageous.
