Key Responsibilities

• Execute engineering tasks in accordance with the Guided Weapons Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Delivery Division Engineering Management Plan and associated Engineering Management System documentation.
• Ensure the technical integrity of all project-related materiel through ongoing assurance activities.
• Produce and manage Registration Technical Information and conduct comprehensive technical reviews.
• Plan and support engineering activities, including participation in Configuration Control Boards and certification planning.
• Develop and maintain engineering artefacts, incorporating revisions following engineering reviews.
• Carry out engineering analyses such as failure mode analysis and hazard identification.
• Characterize risks, communicate effectively, and propose mitigation strategies aligned with the hierarchy of controls.
• Maintain and update product configuration baselines to reflect current design status.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Possess previous delegation experience as an Engineer or higher under MEOSPO, AEOSPO, or LEOSPO schemes, supported by evidence.
• Completed specialist training specific to explosive ordnance.
• Experienced in authoring design documentation, specialist engineering reports, contract documents, and project plans.

Qualifications

• Hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline, complemented with specialist guided weapons engineering training.
• Have prior experience with explosive ordnance certification consistent with AOP 15 requirements.

EMS Assurance Officer Opportunity

There is also an opening for individuals experienced in the assurance and certification of Engineering Management Systems. The role involves supporting ongoing assurance efforts across the GWEO Group, focusing on compliance with the ADF Technical Regulatory Framework related to AEO and AMO certifications.

Responsibilities include preparing organisations for EMS certification, evaluating performance for continuous certification, conducting audits, and delivering evidence-based assessments regarding certification compliance and maintenance.
