About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Expeditor to join our team working on Solar and Renewable Energy projects based in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will represent the company and its subsidiaries at vendor factories and manufacturing units to ensure efficient tracking and timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the representative of the company and its subsidiaries at vendor manufacturing facilities.
- Oversee daily manufacturing and inspection processes, ensuring activities align with approved project timelines.
- Facilitate coordination among EPC contractors, vendors, manufacturers, and project teams to guarantee prompt delivery of materials.
- Closely monitor Solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Substation equipment and materials from the manufacturing phase through dispatch.
- Identify potential delays, bottlenecks, and risks to timely delivery and take proactive measures to expedite production and dispatch.
- Maintain communication with vendors regarding production status, inspections, testing, documentation, and shipment schedules.
- Prepare and submit regular progress and expediting reports to the Project Manager and Head of Projects.
- Promptly escalate significant deviations and critical risks in delivery to relevant stakeholders.
- Work in collaboration with Quality Assurance/Quality Control, engineering, procurement, and logistics departments as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years' experience within the Solar or Renewable Energy project sector.
- Proven background in vendor or material expediting and project coordination.
- Familiarity with manufacturing units, vendor factories, or equipment suppliers.
- Strong understanding of project schedules, material tracking, and delivery monitoring.
- Experience with Solar, BESS, Substation, or electrical equipment is highly advantageous.
- Excellent skills in coordination, follow-up, and reporting.
- Availability and willingness to travel to vendor and manufacturing locations as necessary.
