About the Role
As a Packaging Executive at our Ponda facility, you will lead and oversee packaging projects and initiatives aligned with corporate standards focusing on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Your role is pivotal in coordinating new product packaging trials, evaluating performance, and ensuring cost efficiency and timely execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute packaging projects and trials, ensuring optimal line performance and product quality.
- Provide packaging expertise during new product introductions within authorized groups, recommending and assessing appropriate packaging options.
- Organize and document factory-level tests including machinability, shelf life, storage, handling, laboratory, and transport validations for packaging changes.
- Implement Nestlé Continuous Excellence principles by conducting value analyses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and participating in DMAIC problem-solving exercises.
- Maintain packaging quality oversight from production lines and support quality assurance efforts on packaging control measures.
- Ensure adherence to packaging-related safety, quality, and compliance directives and participate in supplier audits.
- Manage and update the global packaging materials database (GLOBE).
- Assist in supplier development by supporting the Packaging Head Office and Procurement on assessment and selection processes, addressing packaging material complaints collaboratively.
- Develop the skills of packaging assistants and promote best practices on the shop floor through training and knowledge sharing.
- Drive efficiency in packaging lines and material usage aligned with goals toward zero waste and zero loss.
- Analyze and address consumer complaints related to packaging, implementing effective corrective actions.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Automation, Materials Science, or Printing disciplines.
- Experience in packaging development and operations within FMCG environments.
- Strong problem-solving ability and project management skills.
- Experience in supplier and converter auditing.
