Job description
Role Overview
The Executive (Informatics) supports the Informatics Lead by assisting in planning, coordinating, and managing IT and automation projects within NUHS Pharmacy. This includes maintenance and issue resolution for pharmacy computer and automation systems as well as related interconnected systems. The role involves collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure integration of IT initiatives and enhancement of patient-focused processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, testing, implementation, and documentation of IT projects in NUHS Pharmacy to ensure on-time delivery.
- Act as liaison among pharmacy users, the CIO office, Synapxe personnel, and vendors to align system requirements with organizational objectives.
- Maintain accurate databases within pharmacy IT systems to support operations.
- Conduct system testing aligned with pharmacy workflow processes.
- Produce routine data reports as scheduled and fulfill ad-hoc data requests from management and departmental users.
- Collaborate with departmental users to develop pharmacy data reports and dashboards.
- Provide end-user support by diagnosing user issues, prioritizing needs, and coordinating with system application personnel or vendors for resolution.
- Create training materials and conduct sessions to ensure proficient use of pharmacy systems.
- Coordinate with IT teams on IT-related asset management and related departmental activities.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify process improvements and optimize pharmacy system utilization.
- Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum Diploma qualification, preferably with an interest in IT and automation.
- Experience in healthcare IT is advantageous.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including macros and power query.
- Competency in data extraction and mining methods such as SQL.
- Ability to work independently with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sharp analytical skills and effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Positive attitude and resilience in the face of challenges.
- Willingness to participate in system deployments, including outside regular hours to reduce operational impact.
