Executive - CFS Operations

Job Overview

The Executive in Container Freight Station (CFS) Operations will oversee comprehensive warehouse and container yard processes at the CFS facility located in Chennai. The position is tasked with managing inbound shipments primarily arriving from Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, supervising the unloading and container stuffing procedures, maintaining precise inventory and documentation, coordinating with relevant parties, and ensuring the secure handling of goods to prevent any loss or damage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage inbound logistics and operational workflows at the warehouse and container yard.
• Oversee container stuffing and dispatch activities to ensure timely shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and all necessary documentation.
• Liaise effectively with transporters, Customs House Agents (CHA), and internal teams for smooth operations.
• Take ownership of compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety measures.

Performance Metrics

• Accuracy in inventory management and ledger upkeep.
• Zero incidents of cargo loss, theft, or pilferage.
• Adherence to timelines in unloading and container stuffing.
• Strict compliance to SOPs and safety regulations.
• Ensuring cargo integrity without damages.
• Efficient collaboration and coordination with key stakeholders including transporters and CHA.
