Phillip Nova is a prominent local brokerage firm and a founding clearing member of the Singapore Exchange Derivatives Trading (SGX-DT). The company offers a diverse spectrum of asset classes including Equities, Contracts for Difference (CFD), Futures, Options, Foreign Exchange, and Bullion. Their clientele spans retail investors, professional traders, and corporate organizations, all leveraging Phillip Nova's specialized electronic trading platforms tailored to individual investment profiles.
Role Overview
The Executive in Business Development will spearhead the expansion of Phillip Nova's business reach, focusing on High Net Worth (HNW) individuals, active and semi-professional retail traders, and corporate clients. This proactive, client-facing position involves comprehensive management of the entire client acquisition lifecycle—ranging from engaging promising leads and engaging at sector events to rolling out strategic initiatives for market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic outreach plans to meet volume and acquisition targets in Equities, Futures, and Forex markets.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with HNW clients and active traders to enhance client loyalty and retention.
- Efficiently manage leads generated from marketing efforts and events, converting prospects into active, funded accounts.
- Identify and engage corporate and institutional clients for treasury and hedging solutions.
- Collaborate in brainstorming sessions to innovate marketing approaches and expand market presence.
- Contribute to projects aimed at optimizing trading platform experiences and streamlining client journeys.
- Maintain professional, prompt handling of all client onboarding and inquiry processes ensuring operational excellence.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess at least a Diploma qualification in any field.
- Self-motivated and goal-driven with a results-focused attitude.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal capabilities to confidently interact with HNW and corporate clientele.
- Highly organized and meticulous with the ability to effectively manage a sales pipeline.
- Keen interest in exploring and mastering global financial markets.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, suitable for client interaction and internal documentation.
- Familiarity with basic coding, AI integration, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is desirable and beneficial.
- Previous experience in financial services or business development is preferred.
Additional Advantageous Skills
- Proficient public speaking skills, capable of presenting market insights professionally.
- Certifications in CMFAS modules 1A, 2A, 5, and 6A are a plus.
- Sound knowledge of both Fundamental and Technical Analysis in Equities, Futures, and Forex markets.
