Assistant Manager, Client Onboarding

Role Summary

We are looking for a driven and seasoned professional to join our Client Onboarding team as an Assistant Manager or Manager. This role's primary focus is conducting KYC and CDD activities to facilitate thorough onboarding and ongoing monitoring of both individual and corporate clients, strictly abiding by regulatory mandates and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and review comprehensive Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures for diverse client profiles ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Conduct client screening, assess risks, and execute Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes when necessary.
• Develop and refine client onboarding controls and workflow systems to guarantee regulatory compliance and enhance efficiency in processing and client servicing.
• Proactively resolve any issues during onboarding and deploy effective measures to mitigate risks.
• Act as the first escalation point for complex or high-risk onboarding cases, providing clear analysis and guidance.
• Continuously update knowledge on Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) regulations, sanctions, and sector best practices; advise on necessary updates to internal procedures accordingly.

Mandatory Qualifications

• At least 5 years of pertinent experience in conducting KYC/CDD, ideally within financial services or equivalent sectors.
• In-depth understanding of Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) AML and CFT regulatory framework and operational best practices.
• Proven expertise in Source of Wealth (SOW) verification and documentation.
• Skilled in managing complex client cases and performing detailed SOW reviews.
• Strong analytical capabilities combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail, sense of responsibility, and confidence in exercising judgment in ambiguous contexts.
