Role Overview

The Sales & Marketing team is seeking a commercially savvy, inventive, and highly organised Events & Partnerships Executive. In this role, you will help craft memorable client events by transforming ideas and partnership opportunities into unique Hotel Indigo experiences, including special events in the hotel spaces and future dedicated conference venues.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert client proposals into bespoke, commercially viable events that highlight Hotel Indigo Auckland's distinct character.
• Manage the full client process—from initial inquiry, through event planning, coordination, to post-event evaluation.
• Conduct site tours, develop engaging proposals, and confidently promote our event facilities, food and beverage services, accommodations, and extras.
• Collaborate with commercial, culinary, and hotel operations teams to ensure flawless event delivery.
• Execute partnership activations, brand collaborations, product launches, hosted events, and commercial campaigns throughout the hotel and its venues.
• Forge and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, local businesses, media, community stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Scout and develop innovative partnerships that align with Hotel Indigo’s brand ethos and commercial aims.
• Contribute to developing the hotel’s conference and event offerings as dedicated spaces become available.
• Maintain accuracy of commercial documentation including quotations, contracts, payments, event records, and system updates.

Candidate Requirements

• At least two years of relevant experience in events coordination, hospitality events, activations, partnerships, or similar areas, preferably within hotels, venues, agencies, media, or partnership roles.
• Proven track record of advancing an idea from concept through to successful event execution.
• Strong sales aptitude with the ability to interpret briefs, budgets, and craft persuasive proposals.
• Creative thinker with excellent organizational skills, project management capabilities, and attention to detail.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills to build lasting relationships with clients, partners, colleagues, and vendors.
• Experience with partnership campaigns, brand activations, product launches, or experiential marketing is highly valued, along with established connections within Auckland’s event scene.
• Familiarity with event management platforms such as Delphi, SevenRooms, or Opera is advantageous; relevant qualifications in events, hospitality, sales or marketing are a plus.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays occasionally and possess legal authorization to work in New Zealand.
