Role Summary
This position is a part-time, on-location Event Planner role in Doha, tasked with planning and managing an array of corporate and special events from start to finish. Responsibilities encompass conceptualizing events, developing timelines, coordinating with vendors and venues, handling guest lists, and organizing logistics such as catering, decorations, audiovisual support, and transportation. The role also includes budget oversight, proposal preparation, assisting promotional endeavors, and ensuring all events uphold quality, safety, and brand integrity. Collaboration with internal teams and external partners is essential to deliver seamless and impactful events that reflect the company’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute event plans including conceptual development and scheduling.
- Manage relationships and communications with vendors, venues, and guests professionally.
- Coordinate logistics covering catering, décor, audio-visual arrangements, and transportation.
- Oversee event budgets, track costs, and optimize resource allocation.
- Prepare event proposals and support marketing efforts.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety protocols, and brand standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong capabilities in event planning and management to coordinate multiple events effectively.
- Proficiency in budgeting for cost estimation, expenditure tracking, and optimizing event finances.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
- Sales acumen to aid in proposal development, sponsorship discussions, and maintaining client relations.
- Prior experience in event coordination or hospitality, ideally within a corporate or multi-event setting.
- Outstanding organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and flexibility to work onsite with variable hours.
- Competence in standard office and event management tools such as spreadsheets, presentation software, and scheduling systems.
- Educational background in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum education
Diploma / ITI / Vocational
