Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Event Lighting Engineer based onsite in Zone 39, Doha. This position entails designing, programming, and managing lighting systems for diverse events. Responsibilities include crafting lighting designs that match event themes, installing and configuring lighting fixtures and control equipment, and performing pre-event tests and troubleshooting to guarantee flawless execution. The role demands close coordination with event producers, stage managers, and audiovisual staff to ensure integrated technical setups and making real-time adjustments during rehearsals and live shows. Additional duties comprise maintaining lighting hardware, upholding safety standards, and assisting with post-event equipment breakdown and inventory control.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Expertise in lighting design and live event lighting to create atmosphere and visual effects.
• Hands-on experience with lighting control consoles, programming software, and control networks for operating lighting shows.
• Proficient in configuring and integrating LED lighting systems within complex lighting rigs.
• Familiarity with street or outdoor lighting arrangements, including power management and safety protocols for external venues.
• Previous roles in event production, technical theatre, or stagecraft, ideally involving large-scale or corporate event settings.
• Ability to interpret technical documents such as lighting plots, stage schematics, and translate them into functional setups.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude with meticulous attention to detail and ability to operate under pressing deadlines and dynamic event conditions.
• Physical capability for manual handling, working at heights when necessary, and strict compliance with safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to efficiently collaborate with multidisciplinary event teams and clients.
• Preferred technical certification or diploma in lighting, electrical systems, or event technology, or relevant equivalent hands-on experience.
