About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator specialized in rotating equipment such as gearboxes, motors, and pumps to join a reputable automotive-focused company headquartered in Dudley. This position offers a competitive salary between £55,000 and £60,000, with potential overtime earnings pushing the total compensation to approximately £70,000 annually. The role provides a clear track for career advancement into managerial levels within two years, alongside training opportunities and 33 days of paid holiday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire estimating lifecycle including detailed interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct accurate cost estimations for rotating machinery like gearboxes, pumps, and motors.
  • Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns and execute thorough risk assessments.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators to support their development.
  • Maintain standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (40-hour workweek), with optional overtime compensated at 1.5 times the regular rate.

  • Proven experience as an estimator focusing on rotating equipment such as gearboxes, motors, or pumps.
  • Capable of leading estimating projects and mentoring junior staff.
