Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview

ASIA Prime General Contracting Co. L.L.C., a prominent main contractor based in the UAE, is looking for a competent Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its Estimation Department. This role primarily focuses on performing precise quantity take-offs and thoroughly reviewing tender documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare quantity take-offs while maintaining the integrity of tender documents.
• Assist in all functions related to the estimation of costs and preparation of tender submissions.
• Collaborate with various internal teams to gather necessary inputs for tender estimation processes.
• Examine tender documents closely to spot any gaps, inconsistencies, or absent information.
• Support Estimation Engineers by managing Tender Inquiry Forms, conducting quantifications, preparing requests for quotations, creating rate build-ups, reviewing specifications, and identifying opportunities for value engineering.
• Carry out comprehensive quantity take-offs by creating plans, outlining scope inclusions and exclusions, quantifying architectural, structural, and specialized elements, and detecting discrepancies between bills of quantities, drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a similar discipline.
• Between three to five years of professional involvement in quantity surveying, estimation, or tendering, with preference given to candidates experienced in the UAE construction market.
• Strong expertise in analyzing bills of quantities, performing quantity take-offs, and handling tender documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel as well as take-off software tools such as AutoCAD and Planswift.
