Evolve Talent is collaborating with a reputable civil and pipeline contractor based on the Sunshine Coast to recruit skilled Estimators. Candidates with backgrounds as Civil Estimators, Pipeline Estimators, or experienced Project Engineers interested in focusing on estimating are encouraged to explore this opportunity.

Role Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) accurately.
• Develop estimates from first principles, including detailed build-ups.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Design construction methodologies and establish project staging plans.
• Identify risks, exclusions, and gaps within project scopes.
• Generate competitive and compliant tender submissions.
• Contribute to tender strategies and assist with commercial decision-making processes.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and construction teams.
• Facilitate seamless transition from estimating to project execution phases.

Experience and Skills Required

The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Civil infrastructure construction
• Pipeline projects
• Water and sewer systems
• Stormwater drainage solutions
• Earthworks and roadworks
• Utility and infrastructure development
• Subdivision project involvement
• Concrete and structural works

Familiarity with civil estimating software and a comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies are highly valued. Applicants at various experience levels are welcome, ranging from competent mid-level Estimators to Senior Estimators capable of managing complex, large-scale tenders independently. Additionally, Project Engineers and Site Engineers with robust experience in estimating, tendering, and pricing who aim to shift their focus towards estimating are also invited to apply.
