Estimator - Flat Roofing

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Estimator specializing in Flat Roofing, to join our team in Bedford. This role focuses on managing commercial and industrial refurbishment and roofing initiatives, delivering accurate pricing and cost assessments critical to project success.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs to facilitate precise project evaluations.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and pricing strategies for flat roofing and broader construction projects.
• Assist in the collection and assessment of subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Collaborate with the Contracts Department during contract review meetings for awarded projects.
• Handle multiple deadlines efficiently while ensuring accuracy, organizational excellence, and superior quality standards.

Candidate Profile

• Proven extensive experience as an Estimator within a main contractor environment.
• Preferably experienced with flat roofing systems and large-scale commercial or industrial refurbishment projects.
• Openness to junior candidates enthusiastic about entering the flat roofing sector.
• Solid background in pricing construction works and preparing tender submissions.
• Strong verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Resilient character with a team-oriented mindset ready to support colleagues as needed.
• Proficient with IT and construction-related software tools.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £65,000, along with discretionary bonuses. Additional benefits include a car allowance and a comprehensive benefits package.
