Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team, specializing in preparing and managing construction project estimates. This role involves handling general enquiries, tendering for construction projects, and producing accurate proposals promptly to help secure new business opportunities.
About the Company
The employer is a reputable builder with over 30 years of experience delivering projects primarily in commercial, industrial, and retail sectors across New South Wales. Typical projects range between $10 million and $70 million in value.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage construction project tendering and proposals to support business growth in commercial and industrial sectors.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for concrete, structure, reinforcement, formwork, and early works packages.
- Work collaboratively within a supportive, established team and under a flat management structure with accessible leadership and a mentoring system.
Required Skills & Experience
- Possess a construction-related degree coupled with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in estimating.
- Demonstrated expertise in preparing BOQs for various structural elements.
- Familiarity with design and construct (D&C) tender processes in healthcare, industrial, and education sectors.
- Proficiency in industry software such as Buildsoft, Cubit, Estimate One, and Mudshark.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current subcontractor pricing within the market.
