Role Overview
This position for an Estimator offers a key opportunity to join a seasoned commercial team involved in civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The role primarily focuses on developing detailed cost estimations and constructing robust pricing strategies for various civil engineering schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret client tender documents to perform accurate quantity take-offs and prepare detailed bills of quantities.
- Work collaboratively with bid managers, planners, and procurement specialists to determine optimal project delivery methods.
- Maintain detailed risk registers, opportunity logs, and key assumption documentation throughout the estimation process.
- Prepare comprehensive adjudication packages and present tender bases to senior commercial leadership.

The ideal candidate is a meticulous and team-oriented professional with hands-on estimating or operational experience in civil engineering projects. A solid understanding of construction techniques is essential for creating realistic resource assessments and tender submissions.
- Practical estimating or site operational experience in sectors like groundworks, pipelines, or general civils.
- Expertise in first principles tender preparation encompassing plant, labour, and materials.
- Numerical proficiency supported by knowledge of estimating software and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Effective communication skills to foster strong collaboration with internal teams and project stakeholders.
