Estimation Graduate Engineer

Role Overview

This role aims to support the Innovo MEP estimation team by assisting in the preparation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) cost estimates and tender documentation. The position offers practical exposure to quantity take-offs, pricing, and tender preparation under the guidance of experienced senior estimators.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior estimators in extracting quantities from MEP drawings, ensuring accuracy.
• Verify quantities against drawing updates and project specifications.
• Assist in compiling pricing schedules, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and tender submission documents.
• Format and proofread tender documents prior to submission.
• Request quotations from suppliers for required materials and equipment, following up to obtain responses before deadlines.
• Maintain and update estimating databases, including rate libraries and tender files.
• Keep supplier contacts and historical pricing information current and accurate.
• Develop technical knowledge of MEP systems and estimating techniques through continuous learning.
• Participate in tender review meetings and site visits to enhance practical understanding.
• Advocate for the adoption of new tools, technologies, and processes to improve efficiency and transparency.
• Promote innovative approaches aimed at optimizing results and reducing costs without sacrificing quality.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, preferably recent graduates.
• Between zero and two years of experience in MEP estimating or engineering roles.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong motivation to learn and grow within a commercial engineering environment.
