Estimation Executive

Job Overview

The Estimation Executive will be responsible for creating precise cost assessments, bill of quantities (BOQs), rate analyses, and quotations related to engineering projects in the Fire Protection, ELV, MEP, and general engineering sectors. This role requires a thorough study of tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work to accurately quantify materials and labor demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost estimates, BOQs, rate analyses, and project quotations.
• Analyze tender documents, project drawings, technical specifications, and defined scopes.
• Extract quantities from engineering drawings and prepare material and labor cost estimates accordingly.
• Work closely with Design, Tender, Purchase, and Sales teams for both technical and commercial input alignment.
• Gather vendor and OEM quotations, conduct comparative assessments, and prepare detailed comparison statements.
• Ensure that all estimates meet commercial accuracy and fulfill project prerequisites.
• Update and revise estimates as per modifications requested by clients, design changes, or clarifications.
• Maintain thorough records of estimations, costing sheets, and project-wise management information system (MIS) reports.
• Provide support for tender preparation and pre-bid processes as necessary.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Proficient with MS Excel and possess strong cost estimation and costing skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Preferably knowledgeable about Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, CCTV/ELV, or MEP systems.
• Strong analytical abilities and numerical proficiency.
• Effective communication and coordination capabilities.
• Exposure or knowledge of AI tools such as ChatGPT for estimation, documentation, and improving productivity is advantageous.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Diploma, BE, or B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related engineering disciplines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in estimation for Fire Protection, MEP, ELV, or Building Automation projects.
• Capability to work independently and deliver tenders and quotations within deadlines.
• High attention to detail coupled with a strong understanding of commercial aspects.
