Role Overview

We are looking for a full-time Estimation Engineer to join us onsite in Dubai. The engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimations, quantity take-offs, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) specifically for MEP and technical projects. This includes analyzing architectural and MEP drawings and specifications using AutoCAD, performing market research for electrical materials, labor, and equipment pricing, and creating competitive proposals.

The role requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to validate estimates, clarify scopes, and assist in tender submissions. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to value engineering efforts, track project costs against estimates, and maintain and update estimation databases to enhance future accuracy.

Qualifications and Skills

• Expertise in preparing MEP BOQ and project cost estimations to develop precise cost breakdowns and tenders.
• Educational background in Electrical Engineering, with comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, distribution boards, equipment specs, and adherence to local standards such as DEWA guidelines.
• Proficient use of AutoCAD for assessment and scaling of MEP and layout drawings.
• Competence in researching and analyzing market data for pricing and benchmarking purposes supporting value engineering.
• Strong negotiation abilities to engage with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams regarding pricing and project scope.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Solid skills in AutoCAD, estimation and quantity take-off software, and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• High attention to detail and numerical precision, capable of meeting deadlines in a dynamic project setting.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
• Previous experience in estimation for MEP, construction, or technical projects within the GCC region is desirable.
